10.10.11 എന്റെ വിവാഹം കഴിഞ്ഞ് ഇന്നത്തേക്ക് ഒരു വര്ഷം തികയുന്നു.

ഒരു മുത്തച്ഛനും മുത്തശ്ശിയും, അവരുടെ ആ പഴയ യുവത്വം നിറഞ്ഞ കാലത്തെ കുറിച്ചോര്‍ക്കുമ്പോള്‍ എപ്പോഴും അവര്‍ക്ക് നാണം വരും.  അങ്ങനെ അവര്‍ ഒരു തീരുമാനമെടുത്തു, അടുത്ത ദിവസം, ആ പഴയ കാലത്തേക്ക് തിരിച്ചു പോകാന്‍.  അവര്‍ ചെറുപ്പമായിരുന്നപ്പോള്‍ എന്നും പോയി ഇരിക്കാറുള്ള ആ പുഴ ക്കരയില്‍ ഒരു ദിവസം കാറ്റും കൊണ്ട് പാട്ടും പാടി ഇരിക്കാന്‍ തീരുമാനിച്ചു.

അടുത്ത ദിവസം, മുത്തച്ചന്‍ രാവിലെ  6 മണിക്ക് എഴുന്നേറ്റ്, ഭംഗിയുള്ള ഏതാനും പൂക്കളും വാങ്ങി, സൂര്യന്‍ ഉദിച്ചുയരുന്നതിന്നു മുമ്പ് പുഴയുടെ തീരത്തേക്ക് നടന്നു, അവിടെ തന്റെ ഹൃദയേശ്വരിയെ, പ്രിയ പത്നിയെയും കാത്തങ്ങനെ ഇരുന്നു. പക്ഷെ സൂര്യന്‍ അസ്തമിച്ചിട്ടും മുത്തശ്ശിയെ കാണാത്ത മുത്തച്ചന്‍ നിരാശനായി.

 ദേഷ്യത്തോടെ മുത്തച്ഛന്‍ വീട്ടിലേക്ക് നടന്നു. അദ്ദേഹം വാതില്‍ തുറന്നു, അപ്പോള്‍ കണ്ടത്‌ മുത്തശ്ശി തലക്കിണിയില്‍ തലയും വെച്ചങ്ങനെ കിടക്കുന്നു. മുത്തച്ചന്‍ പൂക്കളെല്ലാം തറയില്‍ വലിച്ചെറിഞ്ഞ് മുത്തശ്ശിയെ ചോദ്യം ചെയ്തു:

 "നീ എന്താ പുഴകരയില്‍ വരാതിരുന്നത്.?!!"

 "അമ്മ പോകാന്‍ അനുവദിച്ചില്ല..........."
